How do I set up an appointment?

You can set up an appointment by filling out our booking form online or calling/texting the shop. Depending on the artist, they may also be able to be reached via email or booking form. We will reach out to you to confirm your appointment and pay a deposit to secure your slot. If you have specific questions regarding appointments, feel free to reach out to us!

Do I need an appointment to get tattooed?

We are happy to take in walk-in clients depending on the size of the tattoo. If you have a question about a specific artist’s walk-in availability, feel free to call or text the shop. Booking an appointment is the easiest way to ensure that you can get tattooed by the specific artist you want.

I don’t see the artist I’m looking for on the booking form. How do I book with them?

Due to the volume of appointment requests some of our artists receive, their booking is handled personally rather than via booking forms or calling the shop.

Do you do flash days?

We do multiple flash days per year, including every Friday the 13th. Follow our Instagram to keep up with when the next one will be! Flash days are a great way to get tattooed by anyone from the shop, including artists whose books are closed.

How old do I have to be to get tattooed?

You must be 18 years old and have a valid photo ID to get tattooed at State of Love.

No exceptions.

What is a valid form of ID?

We require a government-issued form of identification at the time of tattooing (i.e. driver’s license, state ID, passport, etc). Student IDs are not a valid form of ID. Photos or digital scans of IDs will not be accepted. If you do not have a valid form of ID, we will not tattoo you.

Do you do piercings?

We do not do piercings, but we’d be happy to direct you to a local shop that does!

Do you take credit cards or digital payment?

We do not take credit cards at this time. All of our artists are happy to accept digital payments. Be sure to communicate what type of payment service is preferred (Venmo, Paypal, Cashapp, etc).

Do you sell gift cards?

We do! Swing by the shop or reach out to us online/via email and we’d be happy to mail one to you!
